North Stradbroke Island Aboriginal & Islanders Housing Society Ltd (NSI Housing Co-op) provides long term, affordable housing for Aboriginal residents on North Stradbroke Island.

Our Services include:

    • Home and Community Services operating from Minjerriba Day Respite Centre,
    • Residential Aged Care operating from Nareeba Moopi Moopi Pa Aged Care at One Mile
    • Short to long term caravan site rentals at Myora Caravan Park.
    • Independent Living units for Seniors



 

Housing Portfolio


We offer long-term housing opportunities on North Stradbroke Island for individuals who are descendants of the Nunukul, Goenpul, or Nughi clans. To be eligible for our housing program, prospective members are required to apply for membership and fulfill the income eligibility criteria. Upon receiving your application, it will be carefully reviewed by our board for approval. Once approved, you will be added to our housing waiting list.

Our aged care hostel provides long-term and respite care to our community. Situated just across the road from One Mile Beach which provides the best views from most rooms and the sweeping verandas. From here our Residents can enjoy cool breezes with visiting family and friends.

Minjerriba Day Respite & Home Care Services


Our Center offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the needs of our community. These services encompass in-home care, cleaning assistance, home maintenance, transportation support, and the convenient Meals on Wheels program.

Furthermore, we offer an engaging array of activities designed to keep you active and entertained. Our calendar includes fun events like bingo, exciting shopping trips, and delightful communal lunches right here at the center. Our services are available to individuals who are 50 years old or older (Indigenous) and those who are 65 years or older (non-indigenous).
