Nareeba Moopi Moopi Pa Aged Care Hostel (or ‘Moopi’ as it is more fondly known) was established in the 1994 and is a 16-Bed Aged Care Hostel situated at One Mile on North Stradbroke Island. We provide permanent residential care as well as short term stays (respite).

We are passionate about empowering the Elders in our care to thrive. We understand that one way to help people maintain control of their life is by providing choices. Our Elders have choices in all aspects of their lifestyle and living environment, from health professionals to social opportunities that best suits their needs and preferences.

Moopi has a beautiful outlook and our Elders enjoy views of the ocean or the bush from most rooms. With sweeping verandas Moopi also allows our Elders to experience cool breezes on summers days and lots of space for when families come to visit.

The dedicated Care team at Moopi ensure that every part of the living at and being cared for at Moopi is quality, including the meals that have been developed with the aid of a dietician but more importantly considering the choices and needs of our Elders.

Over the last few months the community has seen some changes at Moopi with the end of the Fireproofing and Refurbishment Project at Moopi, which was funded by the jointly funded by Australian Government (ACAR Funding) and Queensland Governments (ETS Funding), which has realised refurbishment work which will change the look of the building, whilst ensuring that we can respond to bushfire risks in the future. The project completed in February 2022.

Our next project will be incorporating a sensory garden for Moopi Residents and a community space for future events and activities.
